DISTRIBUTION

Vineyard Furniture, Int. provides furniture products to customers in forty-one states. The distribution network includes a blend of independent stores, independent chains and specialty retailers. Areas included are as follows: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington D.C., West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming. Shipments into Canada are also provided on a limited, case-by-case basis. The company distributes products through its established dealer network and does not sell directly to consumers.

Marketing – The company utilizes independently contracted sales professionals as the primary channel of product marketing. In addition, permanent and extensive show spaces are located within the Tupelo Furniture Market in Tupelo, MS. and in the High Point Furniture Market in High Point, NC. Advertising support is provided through a variety of print, film and electronic media, including one of the better printed catalogs within the industry.

Employment – Vineyard Furniture, Int. is passionately dedicated to the creation of economic growth and prosperity for the residents of its community. As one of the largest employers in the area, the company sustains numerous families through managerial, clerical, warehousing, and light-manufacturing job positions. Promotion is typically encouraged to occur from within, and is usually based on skill and determination rather than tenure. The concepts of teamwork and empowerment are also highly fostered. Fleet – Vineyard Furniture, Int. also operates and maintains its own fleet of modern tractor-trailers. To be employed, drivers must first meet rigorous requirements. This includes a minimum of three consecutive years of over the road experience; with an entirely incident free record during such time.

Safety – Being firmly committed to employee safety, the company adheres to stern zero-tolerance policies on drug and alcohol abuse, firearms in the workplace and sexual harassment. In addition, light-manufacturing and delivery positions require an initial and thorough training phase prior to performing any job function. Specialized safety programs exist in both distribution and fleet sectors, and are rigorously monitored.

Environment – Approximately 90% of the company’s annual paper waste is recycled. All worn fleet tires are either recycled or are sent to be re-treaded.

Charity – The company makes numerous charitable contributions each year, including university scholarships for local students, food and clothing aid to needy families and donations to Christian missions abroad. In addition, through state assistance, night classes are available to employees at a reduced rate or with complete tuition exemption.

NEW DISTRIBUTION CENTER

The company operates a “state of the art” distribution center in Winnsboro, LA. Total local storage capacity exceeds 300,000 square feet. All shipments to customers (except direct container shipments) go through this location. Order processing, billing and purchasing, beginning Fall 2005, will also be initiated at these premises.
