C.C. Ashley 1913-1994

Born Casey Clarence Ashley on January 20, 1913, C.C. performed roles of sharecropper, truck driver, carpenter, custom harvester, gardener and mechanic...and during his earliest years, a train-hopping vagabond surviving on orange peels.
However, the roles of devoted, wise, compassionate, loving, resilient and sensible husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather are those for which he is so fondly remembered. Claims of boredom were considered crime; and work began as soon as sunlight allowed...yet turning away stray animals wasn't in his heart.
While C.C. was certainly no authority on the furniture industry...save perhaps keeping food on the table used to feed his seven sons and two daughters...his attributes of soft-spoken practicality and belief that people should be judged on their actions and faith, and not on their claims, are the characteristics on which our company was founded and strives to operate.
Goodness is love in action, love with its hand to the plow, love with the burden on its back, love following his footsteps who went about continually doing good.
