MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

In the spring of 1973, my wife and I opened a small upholstery shop.  Only a few years later, with the help of relatives and a substantial dose of divine grace, we were able to start a modest retail venture offering furniture products to consumers in our local trade area. Today, Vineyard Furniture, Int. provides company-truck delivery on quality products to over 1,750 retail dealers within our authorized dealer network…currently spanning 38 states and portions of Canada.

We are often asked what enabled us to take such a self-assured leap, particularly in light of the growing myriad of challenges that face many organizations.  When initially requested to respond, I considered including the usual jargon one would expect to hear from a seasoned salesman…best prices, finest quality, outstanding customer service, etc.

While the old salesman’s terminology certainly does matter, our approach on defining such accomplishments varies slightly from the norm.  We believe any success we have had is centered, primarily, on the core concepts on which our company was established… these being faith and value.

Faith – We strive to operate in a manner consistent with Christian principles.  Our company name, corporate slogan and corporate logo are all based upon such convictions.

Value – We do not desire to offer products that are designed and built simply to achieve the lowest possible price on the market.  The overwhelming majority of consumer purchases are not based solely upon the absolute cheapest price.  Best price and lowest price are two entirely different concepts, although in our industry they are often muddled.

Price is what you pay; value is what you get…and in the aspect of value in discriminating wood furniture products, we feel we are second to none. We, therefore, promise genuine, tangible value for today's discriminating furniture buyers. The extensive product descriptions and detailed product images shown on this web site are a reflection of our confidence in Vineyard's authentic, bench-made construction.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the countless dealers and consumers who have supported us over the years, both directly through purchases and indirectly through numerous constructive comments and suggestions.  Your support and trust is not taken lightly.  I would also like to thank the valued employees within our own organization and the independent representatives that work hard every single day promoting not just what we sell, but also who we are. You guys make coming to work every day a genuine pleasure.
